Our ERP software selection is a simple yet effective approach that is targeted for small to midmarket companies that require one or two independent consultants to help lead client teams through the ERP selection process. No software vendor referral agreements and no ties to implementation services ensure a true non-biased process.
Selections have involved a variety of ERP software companies including SAP, Oracle(EBS/JDEdwards/PeopleSoft), IFS, QAD, Microsoft, Infor, Epicor, Consona, Sage, CDC Ross, Syspro, NetSuite, Acumatica, Aplicor, Enterprise Suite, and Plax Online just to name a few.
Our years in IT management combined with consulting have provided a unique background to provide ERP software selection services. The "Funnel Approach" methodology is tuned to the very specific client key critical process needs as opposed to a very big functional point spreadsheet where a majority of those points have little impact on the ERP software selection process.
Many clients have already determined that an ERP software selection project is worth the effort as part of their overall IT strategy. However, others are faced with a difficult decision on whether they should even invest in an evaluation effort. MICROEON has developed a Trigger Point Analysis, a quick and cost effective method to help companies decide whether an ERP selection project is the best choice forward prior to committing to a full blown ERP software selection.
MICROEON has experience conducting software selection projects for just about any enterprise business software system including: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Financials, Payroll/HR, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Manufacturing, Distribution, Project Accounting, Insurance, Investment Management, and many more. With many of software systems available on the market, MICROEON identify the unique requirements of your organization so that we can focus on the right software solutions.
MICROEON provides you our Checklist of Services that outlines our complete software selection service offering.

Here is a more detailed discussion of some of the key aspects of our software evaluation methodology.
Requirements Analysis– MICROEON helps you put together your team and make sure that everyone is prepared for the project. We then conduct requirements interviews either on location, or via conference phone. Because software selection is our only business, we know how to efficiently gather the software requirements with a minimal impact on your personnel and a much shorter timeframe than most consulting firms. We then put together your key Differentiating Criteria requirements. This document is used to analyze the software vendors, or can be inserted into an RFP. We know what should and should not be included in an RFP in order to streamline and make it a more useful evaluation tool.
Business Process Review - Selection and implementation of a new software system is an excellent time to improve your processes. MICROEON review your current business processes and provide an overview of broken processes and process improvement that will be facilitated with the implementation of modern software systems. These recommendations will become part of the requirements document and demo script.
Software Demos – MICROEON puts together a Demo Script so the vendors show how they will solve your business requirements instead of only the bells and whistles. The Demo Script also helps you compare the software vendors in an apple to apples manner. Frequently, our customers ask us to attend and facilitate the demos and serve as the “Demo Police” to help the vendors stay on track and to objectively assist with evaluating feedback from demo attendees.
