How to enable “Reason” for “Move Candidate” process in Oracle Recruitment Cloud -ORC

(Phase: Interview & Selection, State: Rejected by Employer)

Step 1 Defining Reasons

1. Navigate to Setup & Maintenance

2. Select “Recruiting and Candidate Experience” offering

3. Select “Candidate Job Applications” functional area

4. Click on “Candidate Selection Process Reasons” task

5. On “Candidate Selection Process Reasons” page, click “Create” icon under “Reason” tab

6. Enter the values as shown in the bellow screenshot

7. Press “Save and Close” button



8. Repeat bullet point 5 thru 7 to create each new reason

Step 2 Defining Reasons Group

1. Note: You can create a new Reason Group and include reasons (created in step 1) or you can include them in an existing reason group. I am including all newly created reason in an existing group.

2. On “Candidate Selection Process Reasons” page, click on the “Group” tab

3. Click on the group name link under “Name” column you want to add reason

4. In the “Reasons” section click on the “Add” button

5. Highlight the reason/reasons you want to ad in the group (press CTL+Clcik to choose multiple reasons)



6. Press “OK” button to add the reason(s)

7. Press “Save and Close”



Step 3 Candidate Selection Process Configuration

1. Navigate to Setup & Maintenance

2. Select “Recruiting and Candidate Experience” offering

3. Select “Candidate Job Applications” functional area

4. Click on “Candidate Selection Process Configuration” task

5. Click on the template “Name” link you want to attach the Reasons created in Step 1 and 2


6. Highlight the desired phase (the phase you wish to add reasons)


7. Scroll down to “State of Phase” section

8. Select the “Reason Group” as shown in the screenshot bellow



9. Select the “Reason Group” and press “Save and Close” button



Step 4 Candidate Selection Process wit the Job Requisition Template

1. Navigate to Setup & Maintenance

2. Select “Recruiting and Candidate Experience” offering

3. Select “Job Requisition” functional area

4. Click on “Job Requisition Template” task

5. Click on the Template Name you want to attach “Candidate Selection Process” you modified in the Step 3


6. Scroll down to “Configuration” section and press the “Pencil” icon, as shown in the bellow screenshot



7. Select the candidate selection process you modified in the Step 3 and press the “Save” button


We have enabled the “Reason” now.

If you created the job requisition using the template shown in above picture, you will be able to the reasons as bellow screenshot.
